Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel were the common catch of the Nearshore fleet today. Aboard the Marauder this afternoon, there were two citation Red Drum caught and released by anglers Robert Bruce and Pamela Marcus of Northern Va.
The offshore fleet got into the Yellowfin tuna today! Haphazard caught and released 2 Sailfish, caught 8 Yellowfin tuna and 2 nice gaffer dolphin. The Bob Gauzza family fished on A Salt Weapon and brought in a meat grand slam. They had ten 50-60 pound Yellowfin tuna, a 30 pound Wahoo and 2 nice gaffer dolphin. The Country Girl’s fishing party caught 8 Yellowfin tuna weighing about 45 pounds each, 5 nice sized gaffer dolphin and released a Sailfish. The Nichols family from Maryland fished aboard the Right Hook, and caught a Mako shark, Yellowfin tuna and dolphin. Good fishing and a great day had by all!
