Today things were interesting, to say the least, with heavy rain and power outages.  Starting at the lunch hour, ominous looking storm clouds began to build up just to the sw of us.  Then mother nature opened the floodgates and it poured all afternoon. Our power went out for several hours and we apologies to anyone that attempted to contact us this afternoon.  Without power the phones were out for most of the afternoon.

Most of the Offshore fleet did good today with limits of Dolphin, some large Yellowfin Tuna, and Wahoo caught. Today it came down to getting on the fish early.  One meatfish grandslam was reported. The story of the last week has been the massive Bigeye Tuna that are off our coast now.  A variety of factors played a part in none being raised today. Rough Seas and heavy Squall lines certainly didn’t help. Hopefully this week some tackle and Anglers’ forearms will continue to be tested by these amazing fish.  Being able to say you’ve landed a fish half the size of a European compact is a right of passage for any angler. Some Blue Marlin and Whites were seen following spreads today but none were hooked.  Tomorrow we are sending the majority of the Offshore fleet out and should have a lot to report.

There were no nearshore trips today however once again our Inlet guide, Toby Russ on the Ttime, had another banner fishing trip this morning. I can’t remember the last time I didn’t see an outstanding trip from his groups.  Limit after limit of Speckled Trout on his trips including another today.  They also caught some Rockfish in the 18 to 22" range that had to be thrown back.

Our Charter fleet books extremely fast so let us know if you want to catch a fish of a lifetime or make memories that will last a lifetime.  Call us at 1-800-367-4728 or visit us at staging.pcdev.flywheelsites.com
