A total of 10 trips were taken today—5 offshore trips and 5 nearshore trips. Luckily for our captains and their clients, they seem to have fared much better in the weather today than they did yesterday. Winds were out of the SW ranging 5 to 10 kts and seas were 3 to 5 ft.
The nearshore boats are reporting EXCELLENT spanish mackerel fishing right outside of the beach. Offshore boats are also finally beginning to bring in their limits of yellowfin tuna (WELL over 1,000 lbs. today) alongside a few scattered gaffer dolphin and several big eye tunas. White Marlins were released on just about every single one of the boats that took trips out today! A couple large Blue Marlin were also hooked, but broke free!
