Another great weather day and the warmer water temperatures and clear skies enabled the anglers to bring in a great Cobia catch. The nearshore fishing parties had a great time with the cobia and bluefish; resulting in many citations. Citation size for Cobia in anything 40 Pounds+. Daniel Webster of Mechanicsville VA landed an 82 Lb. Cobia earning him a citation as well as: Harry Meraklis of Downingtown PA with a 62 lb Cobia;James Algeo of West Chester PA with a 56 lb. Cobia; Andrew Koerner of Herndon VA with a 50 Lb Cobia; Miles Koerner of Concord NC with a 51 Lb Cobia; Donna Casper of Harbinger NC with a 42 Lb Cobia; and Kimberly Cutright of Danville Va with a 40 Lb Cobia. Andrew Curtis of Manakin Sabat, VA earned a citation for the release of a White Marlin. In addition there were some great catches of Mahi with scattered yellowfin tuna.
