Good afternoon everyone! We all got a little bit spoiled with the couple cooler days we had earlier in the week but the heat definitely did not stay away too long. Our Offshore Fleet had a good day with the Meat fish! We had a good catch of bottom fish, Mahi Mahi and a few Tunas as well! The bill fishing has seemed to take a short pause today, we are hoping for a wind switch and for them to start biting again.
We still had 5 of our boats in Virginia Beach fishing the Virginia Beach Billfish Tournament and we are VERY proud to say… 4 out of the TOP 5 boats are boats that are run out of our home inlet, Oregon Inlet. CONGRATS to our Charter boats A Salt Weapon, Capt. Dennis Endee in 1st place and Obsession, Capt. Jeff Ross in 2nd place!! Also Shout out to Oregon Inlet Fishing Center’s Rigged up, Capt. Charles Haywood in 3rd place and Legacy, Capt. Jordy Croswait! Great job Guys!
