Today the Offshore fleet had mixed results with some boats getting good numbers of really nice Yellowfin and some boats with a few Dolphin. There were three White marlin caught and released along with one Blue Marlin. The size of the Yellowfin Tuna caught today was really impressive with several pushing 70 pounds.
The nearshore fleet did really good this morning catching limits of Spanish Mackerel and a handful of Bluefish. Some Cobia were spotted but none were landed. Things steadily declined as the day progressed with the Mackerel bite shutting down in the afternoon. Typically that’s the void filled with Cobia and Red Drum catches but today none were hooked.
Inshore the Speckled Trout fishing is still Red Hot with limits caught on all trips once again. Tomorrow a pretty large cold front is passing to the north of us and hopefully the bite really turns on before the rain sets in tomorrow afternoon.
