I couldn’t start this fishing report without first saying a thank you to all of our brave service men and women! You are all heroes and for that we attribute everything that’s great about this country! We certainly have a lot to be greatful for on this beautiful Memorial Day. The offshore fleet certainly had a memorable Memorial Day. The weather could not have been better and the fishing was fantastic. Over the past week or two the fishing has slowly shifted from huge Dolphin catches to huge Tuna catches. Today was no exception. All the offshore fleet caught yellowfin in good numbers and size with quite a few Dolphin landed. A few Wahoo showed up in the catches as well. There were two Billfish released today a White Marlin and a Sailfish.
Inshore boats had a really good day too! There was quite a few nice size Cobia caught and there were good numbers seen. One boat went specifically after Black Sea Bass and caught some really gigantic Sea Bass. At least three Citation size Sea Bass including one over 6 Pounds!!
