It was a hot one out here at Pirates Cove Marina but it was a great day to be getting all rigged up for the first day of fishing in the Pirates Cove Billfish Tournament. We had a few Offshore boats fishing today and they caught a few White Marlin, Sailfish and a good amount of Tilefish caught on the way in! A great added bonus to a nice calm day out on the Gulf Stream.
Our Nearshore Fleet had a great catch of Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish and Red Drum today! We had lots of happy anglers come back to the dock today! Give us a call at (252) 473-3906 and let’s get you fishing this week! We are filling up quick but we do have a few nearshore openings left!
Yesterday we held the Alice Kelly woman’s tournament and we would like to congratulate the Lo Que Sea for winning first place in the release category and the Sniper for winning first place in the Mahi Mahi category! Congrats Captains, Crews, and anglers!
Don’t forget to make your way out to the Pavilion at Pirates cove tonight to register for the Pirate’s Cove Billfish Tournament! We are expecting a great turnout this year and cannot wait to see the final number of boats participating! Don’t miss all the action and come on in and check out all of the boats heading back to the dock in the evenings between 5pm -6pm!
