What an exciting day to be offshore today.  The story of the day was billfish in good numbers.  It is the week before our annual billfish tournament and Whites, Blues, and Sails are showing up in good numbers just in time.  Today we had only four offshore with five white marlin and one blue marlin caught and released.  The story of the day was a 409 pound Blue Marlin brought home that drawed quite a crowd at the docks today.  Despite the great marlin fishing the meat fishing was a little slower though.  Everyone had some Dolphin and Yellowfin but the numbers had subsided from yesterdays impressive Tuna catches.  The offshore wreck fishing trip today continued to produce limits of really nice sized Tilefish and some black sea bass.

Sea temp continued to drop after last nights heavy sw wind.  Two days ago you could find 80 degree water right outside the inlet. Then yesterday 68 and today 62.  The satellite imagery looks like someone spilt blue ink all the way down the northern beaches.  The Nearshore trips caught a handful of Spanish and Blues this morning.  Sunday the wind is supposed to shift more easterly for a few days and the Nearshore trips should really heat up along with the water temps.

The Speckled trout fishing continues to be hot and limits were caught again this morning.  We have charters available this weekend and next week call us at 1-800-367-4728 or visit us at staging.pcdev.flywheelsites.com
