Another outstanding day for mother natures premier gamefish! Today the first boat to report in had a Grand slam that included White Marlin, Blue Marlin, and Sailfish. Several other boats were a fish short of Grand slams with the fleet of 6 boats comprising 16 total Billfish catch and releases today. This time of year is, with out a doubt, some of the most heart pounding action in the world right off our coast. Within another week or two lucky anglers will have the excitement of double digit marlin hook ups on trips. The sailfish are here in big numbers today with several boats reporting "wolf packs" of Sails hitting up to four lines all at once. Sailfish are one of the fastest creatures on earth and provide quite an adrenaline rush when they come up into a spread. Quite a few dolphin were caught today along with a handful of Wahoo as well.
The nearshore fleet had some full day trips that gave the captains an oppurtunity to catch a variety of fish including some large Amberjack, Dolphin, and Cobia. Nearer to shore there was good amounts of Spanish Mackerel, Sea Mullet, and Flounder caught.
