Today things started off pretty rough with the remnants of a low pressure system passing through last night.  The Offshore fleet had mixed results today along with some heartbreaking moments.  For what they didn’t catch in quantity they caught in quality including a Wahoo over 50 pounds and a Bigeye just shy of 200 pounds.  Quite a few large Dolphin were caught along with some Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna.  Several boats lost large Bigeyes after fighting them several hours.  Tuna often have an uncanny knack to be barely hooked and when dealing with massive fish in the 200 pound range often something has to give, despite an Anglers best efforts.  Two Blue Marlin were caught and released both were in the 200 lb range.  Offshore Wreckfishing was really good today with great catches of Tile fish and Black Sea Bass.

The Nearshore fleet was in for a suprise when they hit the inlet and saw the white line extending from one shoal to the other.  There was a hard  NE wind this morning and a small craft advisory.  Despite that some Cobia were caught along with some great Spanish Mackerel catches.  The Inlet is really cleared up now and should have some beautiful water pushing in through the weekend.

The Inshore trips did outstanding once again catching limits of Speckled Trout with some exceeding 22".  Hopefully with all the clear water pushing in we will see some great Flounder catches this weekend.  Big Flounder are being caught to the south of us and should be in the catches soon.

We open at 5:00 am through the weekend for any anglers wanting to fill up their boats with Ethenol free gas before their fishing trips at our fuel docks.  We’ve got Charters and makeups available through the weekend call us at 1-800-367-4728 or visit us at staging.pcdev.flywheelsites.com
