Today’s conditions were not excactly ideal with sw winds blowing 15 to 20 knotts with gusts to 25kts.  But three boats did venture offshore and were well rewarded for their dedication.  All three returned fairly early with limits of Yellowfin Tuna and good amounts of Gaffer Dolphin.  There were no Billfish reported today unfortunately.  It would seem that almost every boat on the this island and the adjacent is booked for at least the next two days.  We do have a couple of Makeup spots still open for one boat on the 13th.  Please let us know asap if you want to get on a make up or book a charter while the fishing is still so hot.  The phone was ringing all day today with people trying to get on last minute trips.

Near shore they continued to catch good amounts of Spanish Mackerel and Blues.  It’s a shame this Sw wind has been blowing so hard because its really put a damper on the Cobia sight fishing.  This morning there were also Speckled Trout caught and good numbers of throwback Puppy Drum.  there was also some smaller (most likely male) Flounder caught this morning too.  Usually this is the time of year when the larger Females start being caught in good numbers.  I hope to see them showing up in the catches soon for our inshore guys.
