Not much to report today.  We had a lot of boats chartered to fish today but apparently Mother Nature didn’t get the memo.  The wind is so steady and strong it feels like a hair dryer set on cool setting.  We did have one boat, and a brave group of anglers, give it a shot this morning.  They were back at the dock before 9 am.  Between the rain and 7-8 footers offshore, they decided it would be a better idea to come in.  We’ve got a large number of boats heading out tommorow and through the weekend.  I hope to have a lot to report in the next few days.

One last point of interest.  I was looking at the updated sea surface temps from Satellite imagery this morning.  Because of the consistant south wind thats been blowing, warm water (71-73) has pushed up off of diamond shoals all the way up north to our vicinity.  That should lead to the fishing really turning on for our inshore fleet.  At least one of our inshore captains is heading out tomorrow specifically targeting Cobia because of the warm water pushing up here.

We’ve got a really busy holiday weekend ahead but there is still some spots open inshore or offshore.  Call us at 1-800-367-4728 or visit our website staging.pcdev.flywheelsites.com to book your fishing trip!
