It looks like all the down time last week was down time not wasted. Everyone took full advantage of the time to do some much needed prep work for the upcoming fishing. Today it really showed! The weather was beautiful and the fishing was fantanstic! Last week the yellowfin were strangely absent in the catches. Just lots of really nice dolphin and a few tuna mixed in. Today they decided to make their presence known with everyboat catching good numbers of yellowfin. Dolphin catches were great too. Once again all the boats had large numbers of gaffer size dolphin. Some really large Bull Dolphin in particular one exceeding 40 pounds! A White Marlin was released. Also a private boat reported a Blue Marlin release too! One of the boats was able to land a Mako that was mixed in with the Yellowfin trying to get a free meal. Goes to show that, there’s no such thing as a free meal!
